This summer, we bring you a luxurious pick of the most ‘quintessentially London’ things to do in the British capital
London is a veritable haven for the bon vivant. No doubt, the British capital is considered one the world’s most indulgent cities, where refined pleasures and little luxuries are celebrated and cherished. That said, nowhere else does one see such an effortless mélange of tradition and modernity — ancient neighbourhoods, trendy new quarters, avant-garde fashion and a cutting-edge music scene — London truly is a feast for the senses.
The hats off afternoon tea
When in London, a luxurious afternoon tea ritual is mandatory. Especially when you’re at an address as swish as Hyde Park’s Mandarin Oriental. The luxury hotel blends fashion and the much-loved London tradition of high tea by collaborating with British couture milliner Emily Baxendale. The designer has created a series of headpieces, with the hotel’s Oriental aesthetics as inspiration. This capsule collection is being showcased within the hotel, till July. For the occasion, the hotel’s chefs have also released specially designed desserts and teacakes.

Many of these brands now have ready-to-wear offerings. In short, getting a classic tailored Savile Row suit is a must-do London experience!
There’s no denying just how quintessentially London designer Paul Smith is.
