‘An HR manager by day and baker and social media influencer by night Mahmood Janahi is born and raised in the Bahrain. Mahmood successfully turned his childhood passion for baking into a business venture.’

Why baking?

Growing up, my grandmother would take me with her to the kitchen to keep me out of trouble. And soon enough I started cooking along with her. And from then on cooking has become my passion.

What is your USP?  

Everything I make is unique as I combine the flavours of the world with traditional Bahraini flavours to create mouthwatering desserts.

How do you stay fit with all these cakes around you?

I stick to a strict exercise routine as well as meal planning to a certain extent. It’s all about moderation and balance.

How do you protect the essence of your business?

By staying true to my business and constantly maintaining high level of customer service and product standards.

Apart from baking, what all things interest you?

I enjoy travelling, going to museums and learning about history and art. I enjoy shopping for interesting house hold antiques and kitchen items.

Being a travel blogger, what all places have you travelled so far?

I have been to all over the world exploring different cultures. I have also visited all the GCC countries.

What is the best part about being a travel blogger?

To be able to experience world cuisines and culture.

Australia

It’s all about time management and following a schedule.

Do you have a specific signature style? How would you describe that?

Rustic and clean.

Sanitiser, my mobile phone, mini Quran, perfume and wireless headset.

What is the best purchase you’ve ever made?

My cake mixer.

What’s great about Bahrain?

Its people, its beaches, and most importantly, the food.

Are you a movie person or a book lover?

I am a movie person, but I occasionally enjoy a good read too.
