Every year millions of iPhone users await two important dates – the day when the new iPhone is launched and the Worldwide Developer Conference when Apple announces major updates. This year was no different, as iOS 12 was the most important aspect of the conference in San Jose.
Apple has said that with iOS 12, performance of iPhones is set to become much faster. Even older iPhone variants – like the iPhone 6 – will now be better equipped to deal with heavy usage. In the past, we’ve seen that new OS upgrades on old iPhones result in slower performance.
Group FaceTime: 32 people on one call
Apple announced that now people can speak to 32 people at one time on Group FaceTime. Even the interface of FaceTime has been changed in accordance with this new feature. Animojis too can now be added to a FaceTime call.
No to tracking
Apple took another swing at its rivals with tools that sharply diminish their ability to track users as they surf across the web. Apple said that by default its Safari browser would disable tracking software that advertising companies embed in websites to track users’ activity across the Internet.
Animojis and Memoji
There will be more animojis in iOS 12, and they will all come with “tongue detection”. The animojis will now work while you are in FaceTime or while replying to a messaging using photos. Animojis are limited to the Apple iPhone X.
