The Formula 1 2019 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix is all set to be one of the most exciting events on this year’s Formula 1 calendar. The four-day extravaganza at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) is scheduled for March 28 to 31 as the second of 21 rounds on the 2019 FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
The event is set to be an extra-special occasion, as it marks the 999th World Championship race in the history of the top flight. It is also being held as part of the landmark 15th season of BIC, and it will be the sixth time it is taking place under BIC’s state-of-the-art floodlights as a night race.
Aside from Formula 1, there will be plenty of other action throughout the weekend with the FIA Formula 2 Championship and the Porsche BWT GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East. There will also be loads of off-track entertainment to be enjoyed, headlined by the live performance of superstar DJ and record producer Martin Garrix on the Friday of the event (March 29). In addition to that, attractions over the weekend include for the very first time a Ferris wheel, a Star flyer 60 metres in height, a carousel and so much more.
For the first time this year, BIC will be open to the public from Thursday (March 28) so fans will be able to enjoy the vending area activities, among other things, over an extra day.
Tickets to the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2019 can be purchased at the BIC stand at Bahrain City Centre, online at www.bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17-450000.
